Skin Cleansing

Women skin cleansing has been performed for centuries in different civilizations by using special herbs, natural oils, saunas and/or sweat lodges.  Women used skin cleansing not only for beauty but also for cleansing toxic skin substances (environment chemical elements, pesticides and/or drugs) and daily body “dirt” (wastes) such as body excess fat, minerals and some microbes from fatty tissues below the surface of the skin.

Ancient medicine knew that if the skin is not able to efficiently eliminate body’s “wastes”, there will be accumulated volume of toxic elements and wastes in the body which could trigger different health problems and/or diseases. It was especially important in cases of kidney, liver and lung diseases.

History known famous women who were addicted to skin cleansing – Cleopatra, Sisi and some others. Most celebrities use skin cleansing not only for routine hygiene but also (even more!) for youthful looking skin.

It is also well known that special powerful forms of skin cleansing could improve dramatically some health conditions (especially allergies and chemical sensitivities).

Nowadays skin cleansing is a normal daily routine hygiene which women usually do twice a day (morning, evening). Skin cleansing could have good and/or excellent effect on all types of skin. But skin cleansing products should be properly selected based on skin type, skin peculiarities and health conditions.

Most popular skin cleansing products are women facial care products that are used to remove make-up, dead skin cells, oil, dirt and other types of pollutants from the skin of the face. Face skin cleansing products help to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne.

Skin cleansing types

  • Ordinary soap skin cleansing,
  • Skin cleansing with special skin cleansing systems,
  • Skin cleansing with foaming products,
  • Skin cleansing with non-foaming products,
  • Oil skin cleansing,
  • Skin cleansing with balms,
  • Skin cleansing with micellar cleansers,

Cleansing is an important part of routine face skin care. Majority of women wash/clean their face skin once a day but it is recommended to cleans face skin two times a day – morning face skin cleansing removes “night dirt” and extra oil from the skin; night face skin cleansing (before going to bed) removes face skin dust, grime, grease, pollution elements and makeup. Avoid washing your face very often throughout the day because you strip the skin of its natural oils. Don’t use face skin cleansing more than 2 times a day. If your face skin is dry, you can skip the morning cleansing.

Ordinary soap skin cleansing

Ordinary soaps are made from harsh detergents that strip everything (good and bad) from your skin – this is why soap skin cleansing is not really recommended. However, there are some gentle bar soaps that are fine for skin cleansing. In most cases bar soaps tend to be a bit more drying than other facial cleansers and this is why they are suitable for oily skin types.

Skin cleansing with special skin cleansing systems

Millions of women are “fighting” every day for beautiful skin (especially face skin!). It is well known that face skin can be the indicator of women beauty, age, health, social status and wealth. Women always want to have beautiful young face without aging skin, wrinkles, acne and other face skin problems. The solution is pretty easy – just learn how you can take care of your face skin correctly/properly and discover skin cleansing systems.

Skin cleansing with foaming products

Skin cleansing with foaming can be considered as one of popular face skin cleansing methods. Skin foaming cleansers can be quite drying and could be recommended for oily skins. Women with dry and/or irritated skin should avoid foaming skin cleansing.

Skin foaming cleansers are pretty cost effective – it is the types of cleansers that last the longest because all you need is a small amount of cleanser to work up a nice lather to clean your whole face.

Skin foaming cleansers are produced as gels or in cream form. Cream foaming cleansers contain oils and emollients and may not be as stripping as gel foaming cleansers.

Skin cleansing with non-foaming products

Skin cleansing with non-foaming products could be done with non-foaming gel or lotion. In most cases non-foaming skin cleansing is recommended for women with sensitive or eczema-prone skin and for some women with dry skin.

Non-foaming products cannot properly cleanse skin – usually unable to remove makeup and/or sunscreen.

Oil skin cleansing

Many skin cleansing products strip the oil from our skin and leaving our skin dry – forcing the skin to repair itself by replacing the oil which was stripped away by modern skin cleansers. Each time we strip our skin oil away, our skin is forced to over-compensate the oil needed for skin moisture.

Oil skin cleansing is one of popular methods used by millions of women who prefer natural methods and who prefer not to remove the skin oil totally.

The oil skin cleansing method based on the concept that the oil used to massage your skin will dissolve the oil that has hardened with impurities and found itself stuck in your pores. Actually it means skin cleansing from extra oil, dirt, dust, grime, grease, pollution elements and makeup by using oil. Additional steam could open skin pores allowing the oil to be easily removed.

It is important to mention that our skin naturally lubricates itself with oil – it means presence of oil on the skin is natural and most probably the oils skin cleansing could be considered as the most natural and effective.

Oil skin cleansing method should be done in the evening – before going to bed. If you had properly done oil skin cleansing in the evening, in most cases you would not need any additional skin cleaning in the morning. Simple shower or washing would be sufficient.

The main goal of oil skin cleansing method is to deep clean while balancing the skin oil production at the same time.

Skin cleansing with balms

Skin cleansing balms are oil-based cleansers designed for daily use – to remove dirt, dust, make-up, oils and other impurities from your skin. Skin cleansing balms function as normal skin cleansers with additional moisturizing effect. Skin cleansing balms look like cleansing oils but have solid form. Skin cleansing balms can be produced as cream or oil-based tissue-off cleansers.

Skin cleansing balms are made from plant-based oils and/or beeswax and/or plant-based wax.

Skin cleansing balms can be used not only as make-up removers but also as routine care of dry skin. Skin cleansing balms are usually applied on the clean dry skin.

One of main benefits of the skin cleansing balms are high concentrations of oils – cleansing balms’ oils dissolve dust, make-up, sunscreen, dirt and excess oils without drying out the skin or stripping it of important natural oils. Most women with dry skin should use skin cleansing balms regularly. The skin cleansing balms are less greasy and less messy than typical liquid facial cleansers (second benefit).

Skin cleansing with micellar cleansers

Cleansing micellar products contain microscopic oil molecules to lift dirt, make-up and oil from the skin. Miccelar cleansers usually come in a bottle in liquid form.

Skin cleansing with micellar give you an exceptional possibility to clean your skin dirt, dust and elements of make-up without following water sensing (no need to rinse off with water). There is no need for skin scrubbing, no soap, no splashing your face with water.

Usually skin cleansing with miccelar is recommended for sensitive skin but could be used in other cases also. Sometimes the micellar cleansers contain also toner and/or moisturizer which is making products more attractive. Skin cleansing micellar solutions are capable of cleansing your skin, removing makeup and pore-clogging grime, without the use of harsh detergents like those present in many other facial cleanser formulas.

Micellar skin cleansing can be used for all types of skin – from the oiliest to the most dehydrated. With micellar cleansing products you can easily avoid skin irritations.

Women who used skin cleansing with micellar water have significantly less breakouts and blackheads.

Skin cleansing with medicated products

Medicated skin cleansing products should be used in very special cases when women suffer from acne, rosacea, demodex, psoriasis, etc.

Medicated skin cleansers should be selected according to your doctor recommendations.
