ROUTINE SKIN CARE

SKIN CARE

Routine skin care is an important tool for keeping your skin looking young and beautiful – it is the best way how take care of your skin on daily basis. Daily skin care routine is a vital component to beautiful skin and skin care routine can certainly improve the condition of your skin. Routine skin care should become a habit of caring for your skin daily and usually results could be visible after 2-3 months.

Why we need daily routine skin care? – Because our skin is the main barrier between our body and environment we live in; because our skin is constantly exposed to free radicals and pollutants like smoke and dust; because our skin pores are becoming clogged by make-up and dirt every day. Unfortunately the simple rinsing with warm water is not enough for out skin.

Every woman should work hard for being beautiful! Women skin can make the first impression at any person.
Correctly organized daily routine skin care should be a part of everyday hygiene. Actually routine skin care is simple and it includes just few important actions:

  • Cleaning,
  • Exfoliating,
  • Moisturising, and
  • Sun protection.

Market is full of products for skin care but every woman should choose skin care products very carefully based on skin type, skin sensitivity and skin reactions to different products.

Skin care products could be changed with the seasons and/or with how your skin looks and/or with changes of health conditions (pregnancy, hormonal dysfunctions, medications, etc.). Even during travel you should consider new skin care products depending on climate changes.

Bottom Line - always take care of your skin daily, always use sunscreen, always cleanse and exfoliate your face skin.

Routine skin care - Cleansing

It is very important to be sure that your skin is well prepared before going to bed – skin should be free of make-up, perfumes, lotions, creams and/or any other dust. “Dirty” skin can clog up your skins pores and ultimately cause spots or black heads. After cleaning your skin from make-ups, just rinse your face with warm water and dry delicately with soft towel.

It is recommended to make routine skin cleansing twice a day to remove all “dirt” from your face including make-up, pollutants and just plain dirt that ends up on your face.

Routine skin care - Exfoliation

Second important step in your routine skin care is exfoliation - exfoliate your skin at least once a week (better 2-3 times a week!). Exfoliation is an essential step in any skin care routine. Exfoliation is absolutely necessary because you are actually removing dead skin cells (top layer of your epidermis) from your face and triggering new skin cells development. New skin cells mean young cells which will give you a young fresh lightened look. Exfoliation can also make your skin smooth, healthy and attractive. Exfoliation can also help minimize the appearance of dark spots on the skin.

Exfoliation is most important for women with oily skin and for women who suffer from breakouts. Without exfoliation dead skin cells trigger acne development and skin oil accumulate and get stuck in your skin pores. Many experts recommend exfoliation not only for face but also for whole body skin (just for removing dead skin cells and opening skin pores).

For skin exfoliation you can use different products and different methods – you can use facial scrubs (better with small grains), soft sponges or other products; you can make deeper exfoliation or “simple” exfoliation.

Remember that skin dead cells give your skin a dull look and after exfoliation you skin can look “fresh”, young and attractive.

Routine skin care - Moisturising

Fundamental part of daily routine skin care is moisturizing – it is true for any type of skin and for any age. Skin moisturising should be done once or twice a day but not too much as moisturising can block facial pores. Dry skin cannot keep your skin healthy. Natural skin moisturizing or artificial (creams) moisturizing can keep your skin hydrated - making your skin appear softer and more youthful. Skin moisturizing should be done after every cleansing, both in the morning and evening (before going to bed).

Even if your skin is oily, you should use moisturizing because the reason why your skin overproducing oil is the lack of moisture and your skin is trying to compensate. If you have oily skin, you can use oil-free moisturisers.

It is complicated to choose the right moituriser for every woman, but selection should be done and it should be done based on skin conditions and skin specific indicators.

Routine skin care -Sun Protection

Skin sun protection is also very important component of routine skin care. It is well known that sun and UV radiation is the number one cause of skin damages. Sun could trigger brown sun spots or unpleasant skin wrinkles of which both can be very difficult to get rid of.

Skin sun protection means applying sun cream as part of your daily skin care routine which will help defend your skin from the sun. Never forget to put sun protection cream on the bridge of the nose, cheeks and forehead as these areas are especially susceptible to skin damage.

Daily Routine Skin Care

Morning skin careinclude cleansing, toning (optional), serum (optional), moisturizing, sunscreen and make-up.

Skin toning is essential to refine pores and tone the skin. It is recommended to use toning only if your skin is very oily, otherwise you can skip toning. Skin toning can be used after removing a mask. At the same time, skin toning could help remove any stray make-up or dirt which may have been missed by the cleansing.

Serum should be used for correction (dark spots), prevention (aging wrinkles) or treatment (acne, rosacea).

Evening skin careinclude make-up proper removal, cleansing, toning (optional) and moisturizing,

Millions of women sleep with make-up. If they would know how risky is not to remove make-up before going to bed! Make-up proper removal is a crucial part of evening skin care routine.
