STRESS THERMOMETER

What is stress thermometer?

Stress thermometer was developed by medical professionals for measuring stress levels - this thermometer calculates stress level by measuring skin temperature.

Body temperature is one of body’s first responses to stress. Skin temperature is widely used as a measure of tension and/or relaxation. It is well known that hands get warmer when tension level goes down. During stress all the blood shunting away as the result of the “fight or flight” body stress response - this is why our hands feel cold when we are experiencing any kind of stress. It is important to mention that skin temperature changes of 5 degrees or more in seconds.

Stress thermometer can provide very accurate information on how stress or stressful thoughts change your skin temperature.

Stress thermometer is very simple useful tool for women and therapists who want to know about true feelings and thoughts and who want to demonstrate the use of biofeedback.

Stress thermometer can be also used for stress management – for checking the effectiveness of meditation, relaxation, physical exercises, medicine and other stress management methods. At the same time, stress thermometer can provide specific number value for stress levels that can be compared over time to check improvement as well as for testing degrees of reactions to different stressful events.

Stress thermometer works by measuring thumb temperature and providing digital feedback that enables persons and/or doctors to develop body/mind interaction skills needed for stress response management and improvement.

Stress thermometers are effective and accurate – this is why it was used as Lie Detectors for several decades. Modern stress thermometer reflects precisely the mental states which are the root cause of measurable tension in the body, or even the slightest stress.

Bio-Q Biofeedback Thermometer Ring

- The worlds best selling precision biofeedback device.
an attractive, water proof ring with a high resolution thermometer for measuring finger temperature baseline;

- Learning HOW and WHEN to catch stress before it causes discomfort and how and when to relax is at your fingertips!

- The BIO-Q Ring has been used for years by thousands of individuals, doctors, hospitals, clinics, schools, athletes (including Olympians) in over 60 countries.

As with any relaxation training tool, if you effectively learn to relax, you may find you need less medication, if you are taking medications for stress, anxiety, pain, high blood pressure, diabetes or other stress disorders. It would be wise to discuss any changes in your needs with your prescribing doctor.

The BIO-Q Ring detects stress-caused changes in finger temperature (caused by constricted blood vessels). Clients and patients use it to catch stress-induced drops in finger temperature before the stress sets off symptoms. Instead of an awkward-looking electronic thermometer or a breakable glass thermometer, the ring is fun and comfortable to wear. It turns the fun concept of the mood ring into a scientific device that uses the world's smallest self-contained precision thermometer.

How it works: Read the ring like a clock, with 1:00 being the coolest temperature (Stressed= 67 degrees) and 12:00, then the center being the warmest (Relaxed 96 degrees). The BIO-Q Ring's clock face has 13 precision liquid crystal chemical formulations set to "light up" with color at precise temperature ranges, so the ring will show subtle changes in finger temperature, as small as 0.5 degree F. Rings are available in Small (size 6) Medium (size 8) or Large (size 10) Gold plated or silver-color plated.

How to test stress thermometer?

Very often women feel stressed during telephone conversations – depending on discussed subject or depending who is the person on the phone. You can test your stress thermometer during any telephone conversation – just turn on your stress thermometer and observe what topics of conversation initiate a fall in your temperature or check which persons trigger temperature change during telephone contacts. Thanks to this test your can identify stressful subjects and/or stressful people – both should be avoided.

Each woman should identify the best method for stress management – meditation, physical activities, musical relaxation, reading, swimming, etc. You can test the effectiveness of chosen “anti-stress” methods by checking your temperature before and after.
