SECOND HAND SMOKING

smoking

Second hand smoking is a special condition which means you are “smoking” without being a smoker – you are breathing the smoke with thousands of toxic chemicals from smoking people. Second hand smoke is as dangerous as real smoke in smoking women. Actually the second hand smoke is the combination of smoke from the burning end of the cigarette and the smoke breathed out by smokers.

Second hand smoking should be considered as a risk factor (even in very small portions!) for women health especially during pregnancy. As children breathe faster than adults they are particularly vulnerable to second hand smoke. Second hand smoking is also dangerous for old people and people with heart or breathing problems.

Second hand smoke contains pretty dangerous poisons – thousands of toxic elements which could hurt women health and trigger different types of cancer.

Even limited portions of second hand smoke are not safe. Second hand smoke can hurt your health even after short time “smoking”. Second hand smoking can trigger not only temporary health problems but can also provoke pretty serious diseases.

Second hand smoking should be considered as a higher risk factor in close rooms (apartments, offices, restaurants, etc.) because toxic elements from second hand smoke spread and can stick to carpets, soft furniture, curtains, clothes, food and can remain in the room for long period of time.

PROTECT YOUR HEALTH - NEVER BREATH SECOND HAND SMOKE!

SECOND HAND SMOKING health risks

During last decades several groups of scientists from different countries clearly shows that people repeatedly exposed to second hand smoke are more likely to develop and die from heart problems, lung cancer and breathing problems.

Second hand smoke works very quickly. Tests show that within a matter of seconds after a pregnant woman breathes the second hand smoke it begins to affect her unborn baby. During 10 seconds toxic gases such as formaldehyde and ammonia immediately attack your immune system causing disturbances. At the same time, the nicotine passes into your bloodstream through millions of capillaries in the lungs.

Second hand smoking could increase the risk for:

smoking respiratory infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, excessive coughing and throat irritation);
