I am healthy 32 year old woman, I missed my period, I have morning unusual feelings and my home pregnancy test is positive but my boyfriend said it could be "false". What means "false pregnancy test"?

Most pregnancy tests (home pregnancy tests) determine pregnancy through the detection of the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) in a woman’s urine. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone which is produced early in pregnancy. HCG detection in the urine and/or serum is the basis for most pregnancy tests.
Unfortunately not always home pregnancy tests are 100% correct. Normally most types of pregnancy test cannot be considered accurate until taken on the date or a few days after a missed period.
If you had your pregnancy test too early or if your pregnancy test's exparation date is past or if you are using hormones for some reasons or if general women health is under question or if you did not follow instructions, your pregnancy test could have false resuls ("false pregnancy test").

It is strongly recommended that you wait until you have missed your next period to take a home pregnancy test. If you cannot wait that long to find out and you know the day you may have conceived, then the earliest you can take a test would be 14 days from possible conception. Home tests are usually 97%-99% accurate when all instructions are followed correctly and the results are read on time. Some kits come with two tests so that in case you have made a mistake, you may take the home pregnancy tests again (second time).
Sometimes home pregnancy test can yield false positive results for several reasons. Even a pregnancy test performed on blood can show a false positive under certain circumstances. In most cases we could have false negative pregnancy test. False positive pregnancy tests are rare, but they do occur.
