It is difficult to take care of women health especially sexual health. I am following all recommendations for vaginal hygiene but very often I am suffering from vaginal itching. What are vaginal itching main causes?

It is well known that women vagina is full of microbes and if women have many partners, the numver of microbes could increase and create several problems for women. But at the same time not only microbes could be a cause for vaginal itching.

Vaginal itching could be very disturbing and stressful. Vaginal itching could appear at night, at work place or in the school, during and/or after sexual contacts, it could disturb notmal life schedules.

Although vaginal itching is known as a symptom of yeast infection or some other vaginal infections, in reality the itching in the vagina and vulva areas has multiple causes. Vaginal itching can also arise due to chemical irritants that may be found in detergents or soaps, douches and vaginal creams, toilet paper, bath products, feminine hygiene products, and vaginal contraceptive products.

Sometimes women could experience vaginal itching at different periods of reproductive life.

Main causes of the vaginal itching include the following:

vaginal itching Vaginal yeast infection which is characterized with specific vaginal discharge that is white and curd-like. Vaginal yeast infections can be triggered by antibiotics, birth control pills, pregnancy, menstruation, condom use, sexual intercourse, diabetes and decreased immune system;

vaginal itching Vaginal infections including sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) such as Bacterial Vaginosis, Chlamydia, Genital Herpes, Genital Warts (HPV), Trichomoniasis, and Gonorrhea. These infections usually develop so called "vaginitis" - inflammation, itching, discharge and vaginal odor;
