Guinness World Record

What is the longest beard in the world for a female?
Her name is Vivian Wheeler from USA - with the longest hair in her beard measuring 11 inches - 27.9 cm. Vivian Wheeler is blessed with having the longest beard for a female in 2000.

HIRSUTISM

Vivian Wheeler of Wood River, Illinois, USA, grew a full beard after the death of her mother in 1990. The longest strand from the follicle to the tip of hair was measured at 27.9 cm (11 in) in 2000. As a small child growing up, Vivian was always made to feel different. Her father insisted she started shaving at the age of 7 but this failed to stop the taunts. It was only after four marriages and her mother’s death in 1993 that she finally stopped trimming back the facial growth and let her beard grow. She prefers to tie the beard up, which allows her to continue with her day-to-day routines. Currently the mother-of-three has joined a touring curiosity show based in Illinois and feels much happier with her life. She said: “It really helped to have a Guinness World Record... it showed me I could be proud of being me. It made me feel like I had a chance in society.”

Hairiest woman

HIRSUTISM

She was and still is Guinness World Record holder for "World's Hairiest Woman". But that's pretty cool because she is kind hearted on the inside and special on the outside. She's like this walking Magic Carpet.

World’s hairiest baby

HIRSUTISM

She is so cute. Katie-lee is like a gold child because people will look at her gold-hair wherever she goes. All parents like their babies to be the centre of attention – but that won't be a problem for one couple, who think they may have the world's hairiest newborn.
Heads turn whenever two-month old Katie-Lee is pushed down the street by her parents, Steph Pleasance and Danny Webster, because of her shocking hair.

Some onlookers even think the diminutive Cilla Black look-alike is sporting a toupé.
Miss Pleasance said: 'Even the midwife asked if it was a wig. When they see a baby, most people say “Isn't she cute”. When people see Katie-Lee, they say “Look at her hair”.'

Mr. Webster added: 'Her hair is of unique coloration. We are forever being stopped in the street and asked if her hair is real.'
Katie-Lee's grandfather, John Webster, said: 'It shocked me the first time I saw her.
'I just looked at her and said, “Blimey, look at that hair”.'

Katie-Lee's parents, from Ashton under Lyne, Greater Manchester, are at a loss to know why their daughter has such an amazing mop of hair, which shows no signs of growing more slowly.
Mr. Webster has already got far less hair than his eight-week old baby and Miss Pleasance said she was born without a hair on her head.

“Baby Elvis”

hirsutism

Here is a six-week-old baby with a set of locks. Louisa Parkes was nicknamed “Baby Elvis” because of her flowing 12.5cm (5in) hair, which already covers her ears and must be held in place by hairclips. The girl, from Battenhall, Worcester, even has an Elvis-like quiff – and a feisty pout to boot. Mother Ellie, 36, says she is only too happy with the comparison – and the attention it brings.
“She is just like a baby Elvis and draws gasps everywhere we go. She is oblivious to the attention but I quite like it,” she said.
During her pregnancy, the IT worker suffered heartburn, which midwives said was a sign Louisa would be hairy.
Her father, Nigel, 39, said he looked just like his daughter at her age – minus the quiff.
